Castle Douglas High School's S6 Young Enterprise Company “High Tea” held a pop up shop in school recently. The group are recycling china to manufacture 3-tier cake stands and cup & saucer bird feeders. Sales are going well with over 30 cake stands and several bird feeders sold already.
Products will be available to buy at local events and customers can look out for the stall at Dumfries Christmas Markets on Saturday 5, 12 and 19 December. They will also be running a stall at Dumfries Farmers’ Market at Tarff Valley on Sunday 6 and 20 December.
The team alos plan a photo shoot at a Stewartry hotel with local photographer Kim Ayres. The theme is the “Mad Hatter’s Tea Party” - with Alice in Wonderland (Managing Director, Nadia Baines); The Mad Hatter (Marketing Manager, Owen Glasby); The Queen of Hearts (Ella Bean); The Rabbit (Human Resources Director, Cameron Brown) and other team members
